MAZDA RX2 / CAPELLA 13B ENGINE MOUNTING KIT

Slotting a 13B into your RX2 or Capella is no doubt one of the easiest and most popular ways to boost your cars performance, whether it's NA or turbocharged. Getting the engine to sit just right, allowing proper fitment with clearance for radiators, fans, shrouds, intercoolers and a turbo if you're going down that path can be tricky, not to mention time consuming. Add to that the fact you also have to modify the sump and oil pickup as well and you've got a big job on your hands...

To make the whole process a lot easier we're now offering RX2/Capella 13B Engine Mounting Kits on an exchange basis with everything you need to get your engine mounted up, exactly where it needs to be. You supply your factory chassis crossmember as an exchange and we supply you with a modified and coated replacement, ready to go.

Working on these cars day in day out we've seen it all when it comes to DIY home mounting jobs, from sections of scrap RHS welded to the original crossmember to roughly extended engine plates , some of which were just down-right dangerous! That's something you don't have to worry about here though. The modified crossmembers in our RX2/Capella 13B Engine Mounting Kits are fabricated in a custom made jig ensuring accuracy with each and every setup we do, with the mount extenders fabricated with maximum structural strength in mind.

All Pac Performance RX2/Capella 13B Engine Mounting Kits come with a new fabricated engine front plate as well as two new engine mounts

With the engine mounted in a new position now a custom sump is required and so we have included a modified rear bowl sump to clear the crossmember as well as a modified oil pick up. To complete the job all gaskets and hardware are also supplied in the kit.

Once the motor and bolt-ons are installed into the car using the Pac Performance RX2/Capella 13B Engine Mounting Kits you can clearly see there is plenty of room for everything, front to back, side to side. 

On closer inspection at the front of the engine you should also note that even with our monster 4in intercooler, upgraded alloy radiator with shroud and 16in thermo fan there is still plenty of clearance to the front pulley, with the fan motor also far enough away from the CAS to remove any chance of electrical interference issues often seen when this conversion is don't incorrectly.

For the turbo guys looking to run one of our H/Duty four inch intercoolers, the Pac Performance RX2/Capella 13B Engine Mounting Kit also allows room to accommodate the huge core and you can finish it all off with a RX2 Fibreglass Front Stone Tray.
