After picking up his newly purchased RX3 Sedan Danny brought the car straight in to our workshop wanting a complete rebuild from top to bottom to bring it up to the current PAC-Spec.
Since driving ‘SKECHY’ out of our driveway Danny hasn’t been happier enjoying his beast every chance he gets, attending Powercruise events, Weddings and Drag meets.
They may not be every bodies cup of tea but FR Simmons just suit the look of early Mazda’s, so It was only natural Danny would opt for a set of FR18’s to set off his ride. Adding the whitewall pinstripe just makes them look even better.
Powering this pocket rocket is a Pac-prepped bridge port 13B from a series 6 RX7, providing the boost is a
Garrett GT51R Turbocharger paired with a
Turbosmart Pro-Gate50 Wastegate and plumb back BOV. The intake, Pac radiator, oil cooler, intercooler and all piping has been powder coated in Matt black which really makes the Custom Candy Green pop.
Hidden behind the front grille is one of our Pac Performance H/Duty 4” intercoolers helping the Turbo run on song.
With the exterior and engine bay sorted it was time for the car to head over to
X-Trim so Luke and his team could work their magic turning out this gorgeous interior featuring a brand new pair of genuine Recaro Type-R front seats.
A Microtech LTC Pro Dash Display has been installed allowing Danny to have the standard RX3 dash put back in the car replacing the carbon fibre dash full of gauges.
Helping Danny come to a stop is a set of our 11.5” /Twin piston on the front & rear.
Finishing the car off with one of our stickers is Damien from Nippy Signs.
Since picking the car up Danny has attended a number of Wedding’s, with ‘SKECHY’ being a sort after car to hire through
Sydney Rotors – Rotary Hire.
Danny has also tried his hand at drag racing for the first time and is hooked. To date he has run a best of 9.73 @142 but the car has a lot more left in it for faster times.
