With a scheduling issue hanging over their heads in the past few months, the Jamboree team have finally got things sorted, announcing some exciting news and changes for the upcoming Brisbane event which will now run over 3 big days on the first weekend of August.

2026 Garrett Brisbane Jamboree presented by Fueltech USA & Tuff Streeters – Date Change & New Event Format
The Jamboree AUS Pty Ltd Management team unfortunately needs to announce that due to a scheduling conflict with the V8 Supercars event at Queensland Raceway, we will have to reschedule 2026 Brisbane Jamboree to an earlier date – 7,8,9 of August.
Over the past five months, extensive discussions have taken place with the V8 Supercars organisation, Ipswich City Council, Willowbank Raceway & Queensland Raceway in an effort to find a workable solution that would allow the Brisbane Jamboree to remain on its usual date, of 20+ years, in August.
Unfortunately, despite these efforts, a resolution could not be reached, and the event has now been required to move.
While the circumstances surrounding the change are disappointing, the Jamboree team remains committed to delivering the best possible event for racers, partners and fans.
As part of the change, the 2026 Brisbane Jamboree will also evolve into an expanded three-day race program, creating an even bigger platform for Sport Compact Drag Racing in Australia.
The new format will feature:
• A full three-day race program across Friday, Saturday and Sunday
• Friday night qualifying under lights
• A race schedule that will compliment all race brackets
The addition of a Friday night session under lights is an exciting step forward for the event and something competitors and spectators have long been asking for.
While the date change was not the preferred outcome, the Jambo team is focused on turning the situation into a positive and delivering one of the biggest Brisbane Jamboree events to date.
