ROTARY REVIVAL #10 @ SYDNEY MOTORSPORT PARK

Sunday the 14th of April Sydney Motorsport Park was the scene for Australia's biggest rotary event with over 300 cars in attendance for the 10th running of Rotary Revival!
And what an epic day of brapping it was!!

Cars started arriving from 7.00am ready for a full day of cruising the track.

From the Pac stables we had customers from all over New South Wales and a few from interstate in attendance with a massive 30 cars in total ready to brap.

The day started with a few cruise sessions in the morning with our boys taking every opportunity to get out on the track and have fun in their pride & joy's.

After the morning cruise sessions were run it was time for the Parade laps. Eager to get out on the track Dom Perri was first in line with a piston in tow, Literally!

Dom was on the front row along side his Dad cruising together in their 2 RX2 coupes, A wild 20B all out street/ strip beast and a mild OG LHD cruiser (The best of both worlds)

The off street drags saw a strong turn out of cars lining up and do battle. From our workshop we had James in his 'RX3SUM' RX3 coupe, Brad in his 'HYPDUP' Datsun, Bobby in the 'HEV15T' RX2 coupe, Jamie in the 'WPNRX3' sedan and Mark in the 'GOT2RN' RX2 coupe.

After a single practice run it was straight into the eliminations. Driving his own car this year James was hoping to make it 2 from 2 after winning the blown class at last years event but it would be a tough ask in his small tyre, manual 12a Turbo. James went on to win his first round but bowed out in the second losing to Dre who got the holeshot in the 'BABYRX' first gen RX7.

Mark in the 'GOT2RN' RX2 performed well in practice taking the win but decided to sit out of the racing.

Competing in his first off street drag event Brad in his HYPDUP Datsun went out strong winning his first 2 races but a little nap on the flag drop against Dre and it was back to the pits to watch the rest of the racing.

Jamie in his 'WPNRX3' sedan was blazing the tyres and still taking the win going through the first 3 rounds before being knocked out in the 4th.

Bobby was also struggling with traction in his 13B turbo powered RX2 'HEV15T' but managed to make it through the first 3 rounds only to be taken out in the 4th round by the SCR RX7 which went on to win the off street drag racing final.

During the off street drag rounds George & Rodney went out for a grudge run in the 'DENT5T' and 'PAC235' RX3 Sedan's. Rodney got the jump on George off the line with both cars losing traction at half track but the big GTX45 turbo in the 'DENT5T' gave George the power to drive around Rodney in the top end.

At the end of the day after all of the cruise sessions were over it was time for the trophy presentation's with trophies on offer for the burnouts, drag racing and show & shine.

After coming out of car show retirement for this event, Dom Perri took out the trophies for 'Best RX2' and 'Best Interior' with his immaculate 'GODRX2' RX2 coupe. He has now vowed that the next time you see his car will be on the drag strip shooting for a 7 second et!
