ROTARY REVIVAL #7 @ SYDNEY MOTORSPORT PARK 08-04-18

Sunday the 8th of April Sydney Motorsport Park became Australia's Rotary Mecca for the day with 300+ wankel powered cars in attendance for the 7th running of Rotary Revival!
It's safe to say the Australian rotary scene is well and truly revived.

Cars started arriving from 6.30am ready for a full day of brapping.

From the Pac stables we had a few customers travel down from the central coast and even all the way from Canberra with 13 cars altogether in attendance.

The day started with a couple of cruise sessions with our boys taking every opportunity to get out on the track and have fun.

After a few cruise sessions were run it was time for the Parade laps. Bringing along his 13B PP drag car for some very loud laps was Paul in the HYP001 R100 taking off from the front row.

The off street drags again saw a good mix of cars line up and do battle with the event now separating it into 2 classes, N/A and boosted . From our workshop we had Ali in his 'ONDABU' RX2, Rami in his RX3 Sedan 'CALHLP', James in the ex 'PMPGAS' RX3 and Damien in the 'DUZ09Z' RX3 sedan.

After the practice runs James took over driving duties in the DUZ09Z RX3 giving owner Damien a much needed rest after being in cars all day with cruise sessions racer laps and off street drags practice. This was a first for James, drag racing in this car so he received a quick pep talk in the pits before going out.

At the end of the first round each of our boys moved on to the next round with the highlight being Andre in the 'BABYRX' RX7 taking out the Rotor Rod which had won the last 2 Off street drags events in Sydney.

Round 2, Rami was matched up with Andre, but a jump from Andre would see Rami take the win. James in the 'DUZ09Z' RX3 also won his race and moved on along with Ali who received a bye.

In the 3rd round it was a Pac vs Pac match up with Rami taking on Ali in the 'ONDABU' RX2. Ali got the jump on Rami but he left too soon handing Rami the win. James also won his race moving on to the semi final against Rami. An issue with Rami's transmission though would see James move on uncontested.

The final saw James up against the SCR RX7 in what turned out being the race of the day. Both racers left clean and raced down to the finish line with James winning by just a bumper bar.

A huge congratulations to James for taking home the Off Street Drags - Blown Trophy.

We would like to thank Gareth Ball and the Rotary Revival team for putting on yet another well organised and exciting event.
We would also like to thank our loyal customers that come along to these events representing our team & workshop. Seeing our customers out there enjoying their cars lap after lap makes us so proud.
Lastly, thank you to our supporters that continue to follow us both at the track and also on our social media outlets, we have the best fans ever.
