TEST & TUNE DELIVERS HIGHS AND LOWS FOR PAC PERFORMANCE CUSTOMERS

Perfect weather and awesome track conditions greeted racers on Saturday morning at Sydney Dragway for the Test & Tune meet as several Pac Performance customers headed out to do some testing.

Current man of the moment, Mark Brenner brought out his new RX3 sedan to carry on from his Wednesday night debut in the car. With the go ahead given to put down some full track passes Mark and his crew was eager as to see what the 13B beast could do and it impressed from the get-go.

Off the trailer Mark laid down a respectable 8.53@119 on his first full track pass, backing off in the deep end due to the car nearing the center line. From there the car progressed to a 8.20@164, skating about mid track but it was his next run that had us all cheering.

Mark's third pass of the day saw the car put down an blistering 7.49@175 with a solid 1.11 sixty-foot; the car looking strong as ever out of the hole, powering down the track. The MircoTech LT16C-controlled 13B was on song, sounding strong throughout the pass and with Rocky yet to throw some serious numbers at her the future is looking bright for this small block 2 rotor!

As you can see in the clip below Mark's quickly got the hang of steering this monster and with such an impressive number put down on only his third full pass we're excited to see Mark and the car progress with some more track time.

After a short break from racing the Archer family RX4 coupe hit the track once again, the car recently being switched over to E85.

One of the most consistent cars around, not to mention one of the best presented racers the Coupe, piloted by Russel Archer was once again running right on the money with the car running a new 9.26@142 PB with a lot more in it

Another coupe that was putting on a good show was Hady El Bacha's RX3. After a bit of a slow start to the day Hady found his groove towards the afternoon with a lazy 9.3 pass.

On his last pass of the night Hady backed up the 9.3 with a quicker 9.26@145 which is a new PB ET for the car. The goal is now to lower that ET even further and combine it with the cars best trap speed of 147 mph.

The countries quickest 13B has undergone a few tweaks of late and driver Andrew Maratos was keen to put them to use on the track however luck would not be on his side this day with the car suffering severe tyre shake on its first and only pass, cracking a fuel rail and unfortunately ending his day prematurely.

Steve Barnett was a late arrival on the day bringing out his sexy new RX3 Coupe, keen to get some more wheel-time.

Being a new chassis, new driver combo it can take some time for the two to come together in harmony and after a somewhat average first meeting with the car we were all hoping the quality track conditions and a more relaxed driver would deliver some cleaner full-track passes.

Unfortunately a super-sticky track combined with one hell of an angry 13B had other plans and after a wild launch the car tipped towards the left side wall, clipping the front end before bouncing off.

Luckily it was only a love tap, the damage is mainly superficial and thankfully the only thing that was injured was Steven's pride.

With a relatively easy repair job we expect the car to return to the track real soon where Steve and the team will continue their testing.

Big shout out as always to the Cackling Pipes team for the awesome on track shots!
