Long-time Pac customer Sam ‘The Godfather’ Sadek was on an absolute mission on his last pass at the APSA Pro Street Shootout on the Saturday just passed before a split in the water reservoir for the water-to-air intercooler saw water get under the tyres, sending him into the wall at speed on the 1000 foot mark.
Thankfully the Sydney Dragway staff and safety crew were on site quickly and Sam emerged from the car relatively unscathed much to the relief of everyone.
Increments from the run proposed an almost certain six second pass if the run was completed in full making the incident all the more annoying for Sam and his crew however, Sam is still in good spirits and the wheels are already in motion to get the car repaired and back on track asap.
