An exciting new racing series has emerged and it is taking the country by storm. "Grudge Kings" an idea thought up by fellow racer 'Po Tung' has quickly caught the attention of Racer's and fans alike with the first official event already scheduled for the 24th of July at Sydney Dragway.
Racers have already started calling each other out which is setting the stage for an epic day of racing.
Here's a run down of what Grudge Kings is all about -
"Grudge Kings Sydney is the most exciting concept in Australian drag racing at the moment and it's aim is to find the fastest 20 street based cars in Sydney who will form "The List".
Events will also be run in Melbourne and Brisbane to form their respective "Lists" creating the series which will see the 3 states battle it out to see who has the fastest cars in the country. “Grudge Kings” has also partnered with local racing groups in North Queensland and New Zealand to plan future events.
"Grudge Kings Rules" - #TheList
1. Must have factory steel body and roof with swinging doors
2. Composite 1 piece front allowed but must resemble factory front, composite doors, bonnet, hatch or boot lid allowed.
3. Chassis to be maximum 3/4 chassis
4. Any engine type and combination
5. Multiple power adders allowed
6. Maximum ET 6.5 = 4.14 (1/8th) Seconds
7. Minimum ET 9.0 = 5.73 (1/8th) Seconds
8. 1/8 Mile heads up win light only
9. Must meet minimum ANDRA & IHRA safety rules and license requirements
The "Grudge Kings Sydney" event will also have a place for everyone to come and run with the following supporting classes being incorporated into the event
"Pure Grudge Rules" - #CallOut
1. You can bring any car be it a Blown, Turbo or Nitrous Promod, Full tube, 3/4, 1/2 chassis or a original body street car to call out each other to race.
2. As long as it has at least 2 swinging doors you can run what you brought and hope you brought enough
3. 1/4 Mile heads up with timing boards
4. All the PURE GRUDGE cars will be pitted together so let the trash talk begin!
5. Must meet minimum ANDRA & IHRA safety rules and license requirements
"Sydney Street Outlaws Rules" - #PureStreet
1. Your car must be street registered.
2. You must drive to and from the track.
3. You must race on a street approved radial tyre.
4. You must use fuel from a service station (unleaded, e85 etc).
5. You are not permitted to use wheelie bars.
6. 1/4 Mile heads up with timing boards
7. Must meet minimum ANDRA & IHRA safety rules and license requirements"
