One of a handful of E30 rotary conversions we've completed over the years, Darby's 318i is as clean as they come and really is a real wolf in sheeps clothing! Now running a staunch FD 13Bt combo, wearing a sizable Garrett G42 turbo and backed by a tough-as-nails R154 5-speed transmission, the exterior looks certainly don't give much away & that's exactly what the goal was from day one with this build - apart from a subtle brap from the small street bridgeport, and of course the suddgestive number plates, the untrained ear would never guess what's under the hood...
With a MoTeC M130 controlling the show, the car drives like a dream on the street as well, with DBW throttle and a whole suite of engine protection keeping an eye on things, Darby is able to enjoy his dream ride without a worry in the world and once the engine is run in, we're sure to see him enjoying taking a few scalps of unsuspecting victims at roll racing events!
