Looking for race proven reliability & performance from your 13B or 20B race engine? Since 2006 we have been supplying our Billet 20B centre plates to customers all over the world including some high-profile rotary teams such as Geohimer Racing, Loquito Killer and Major League who have each run World record times using our centre plates in their RX8’s.
After the success of our Billet 20b centre plates, and with further testing and development, we have now released our Billet by PAC, Alloy Rotary Engines. As used in our 20B powered Mazda 6 SP, these Billet engines are also race proven in our PAC customer cars such as Australia's first 6 second 13b powered car, Kevin Awad’s 20b powered RX8 (Australia’s fastest rotary on a radial tyre) and Eric Wolf’s 20b powered RX3 Sedan (the World’s fastest Rotary street car on radials).
Our Billet engines have been proven to offer an increase in strength, reliability and power, built to withstand high-stress motorsport applications like Drag Racing.
DESIGNED & MANUFACTURED IN-HOUSE
To ensure all work is carried out to our high standards, all of the design work and manufacturing of our billet plates, components & accessories is completed in-house here at Pac Performance in Sydney Australia, under strict quality control and to precise tolerances by our head machinist, Chris Field.
UNIQUE ONE-PIECE DESIGN
An important feature, exclusive to the PAC engine plates, is the one-piece design which has provisions for water jackets, This provides complete cooling to the rotor housings, further protecting your engine and increasing the reliability. With this unique, one-piece, design there is no chance of an insert moving or flexing under boost which usually results in water leaking from the engine.
Our Billet by PAC engines, come with plates that can be used with all factory parts, requiring no machining to make them fit, and are fully serviceable meaning they are repairable if damaged.
Having control of all processes from start to finish allows us to easily cater to specific customer requirements, including porting options. Customers are able to choose one of our Pac-spec standard ports, both mild & bridge port or, they can supply a template for their own port design to be used. We can also supply blank, un-ported plates for use with Peripheral Port engines.
MODEL SPECIFIC OPTIONS
Sighting the need for factory mounting options for late model vehicles, we have designed and manufactured model-specific billet end plates that are compatible with the factory FD RX7 & Cosmo engine mounts, allowing our plates to be used in these applications without the need for custom or modified mounting arrangements. This was a positive step forward, especially as these models become more popular with enthusiasts looking to chase big power or for those wanting to replace damaged cast plates with billet items.
RACE PROVEN & STREET DRIVEN
While Billet By Pac plates were initially designed & manufactured for race applications, once initial testing was carried out with great results, it wasn't long before they found their way into street cars. Now, Billet By Pac plates are being used by hundreds of street cars, including the World's Quickest & Fastest rotary street cars, all of which hail from the Pac Performance stable. The infamous 'TRIPLE' RX3, powered by a Billet By Pac 20B has run as quick as 7.87 @176 and holds the current record as the quickest Rotary Street Car, and has done since 2019. In recent years though, there have been a number of cars climbing the ranks and inching closer to that time, including 'PAC13B', our own 13B development vehicle, driven by Peter Rehayem which in June 2022 became the world's first 7-second 13B street car, running 7.99@170mph.
Amongst the group, we also have several rising stars including Dom Perri and his trailer-towing 20B RX2 'GODRX2' which has run as quick as 7.91@173 & Leon Rosario with his stunning black 20B RX3 Coupe which has been as quick as 7.94@176. All of these cars mentioned are regular sights on the streets of Sydney and drive to and from the track when being raced which is further testament to the quality & reliability of our billet plates.
CIRCUIT RACING DEVELOPMENT
Partnering with the Ingram Brothers Racing Team, Billet By Pac have been working closely with Peter & Matthew Ingram on their RX8 & RX7 race cars, competing in the highly-competitive NSW Super Sedan Championship series. Both cars are running Billet By Pac 20B engines and have proved quite successful on track since their race debut in early 2023 with podium finishes at every round so far.
The perfect platform to test out our billet plates in both Bridgeport (RX8) and Peripheral Port (RX7) variations for reliability & longevity when being pushed to the limit for extended amounts of time, the data collected & feedback received, as well as the race & results are proof that Billet By Pac plates are a great choice for circuit racing & other similar applications.
Billet by PAC engines come complete with all necessary dowels & studs and are designed to run with a dry sump pump or OEM oil pump.
Customers wanting to purchase one of our billet engines or plates will need to provide us with a porting template to have the ports machined before assembly.
