Manufactured between 2003-2012 the Mazda RX8 was developed to be the successor to the very popular RX7. Like all other Mazda’s in the RX range it is powered by a wankel (rotary) engine.
For the RX8, Mazda designed the naturally aspirated 13B-MSP RENESIS engine to help reduce exhaust emissions and improve fuel economy, ditching the twin turbo configuration that was synonymous with the RX7.
In 2010 we worked alongside the Mazda Motorsport Team for Targa Tasmania, having a hand in the development and preparation of the Mazda RX8 for the Australian Tarmac Rally Championship taking on the likes of Nissan, Porsche and Lamborghini. Our very own Rocky Rehayem was also part of the Mazda Motorsport Team, looking after Tuning and Data Acquisition.
With the years of experience and invaluable knowledge that was gained, we began ‘Project 500’. Starting with a stock RX8 and upgrades which we have developed into performance packages that are now available to our customers.
Pac performance is your go-to shop for all RX8 servicing and upgrades. From log book servicing and maintenance to full engine rebuilds, dyno tuning and performance upgrades, we have got you covered in every aspect.
