Introducing "MSPEED", an FD RX7 built with one clear goal: to combine serious big horsepower 3 rotor performance with the comfort, technology and finish of a complete streetcar.

At the heart of the build is a PAC Performance-built 20B Turbo 3 rotor engine controlled by a Pac-Spec MoTeC M150 ECU package. Providing the boost is a monster Garrett G-series turbo

Keeping the 20B running cool is a complete PAC Performance FD RX7 Ultimate Cooling Package. The package includes a huge 6-inch intercooler, 100mm radiator, dual thermos fans and twin billet oil coolers. PAC under-bonnet matting provides the finishing touch, giving the engine bay a clean appearance while helping manage heat.

Power is transferred through a six-speed PPG sequential transmission, delivering fast and precise gear changes. At the rear, an independent Ford 8.8-inch differential and billet axles provide the strength needed to handle the power of the 20B combination.

Braking performance has also received a major upgrade, with a six-piston 350mm Wilwood brake package fitted to the FD. Electric power steering assists with low-speed manoeuvrability, while RC Components Impulse wheels wrapped in wide 255/60 tyres give MSPEED an aggressive stance and plenty of tyre on the ground.

Inside, the RX7 blends motorsport technology with genuine street comfort. A MoTeC C127 display provides the driver with clear access to the car’s vital information, while carbon-fibre trim and fascia pieces modernise the FD’s iconic cockpit. Finishing off the interior are a pair of Recaro Sportster CS Seats to keep the driver and his passenger comfortable while driving this monster streetcar.

Despite its serious performance hardware, MSPEED retains the features needed to be enjoyed on the street. Air conditioning, a factory sunroof and a Kenwood head unit with a reverse camera make the car comfortable and practical without taking away from its performance focused character.

Moving towards the rear, the car houses a massive 95-litre fuel tank to support the demands of the 3-rotor engine. Combined with the heavy-duty independent rear driveline, the complete package has been designed to deliver power reliably while maintaining the handling characteristics of the FD RX7 platform.

MSPEED is a well-rounded example of what can be achieved when serious rotary performance, modern technology and streetcar comfort is brought together in one carefully considered build.
