11/12/13 SYDNEY DRAGWAY RACE 4 REAL OFF-STREET MEET

Lightening quick street cars are definitely the flavour of the month as week in week out we're seeing our customers heading out to Sydney Dragway looking to snap up a PB time slip with a bit of healthy competition amongst them gee'ing the guys up.

The Wednesday night just passed saw four Pac customers, all with RX3s head out to the Race 4 Real off-street meet, Paul with WKD13B, Eric 'WLF13B', the Gooza brothers in 'FLY11N' and Adam with his recently acquired sedan 'WPN09Z'. A collection of stunning streeters indeed.

After having to deal with a boost issue last time out at the track, Eric Wolf was hanging to get back out there with the problem sorted. Wasting no time Eric headed to the staging lanes and blasted out an impressive 10.10@131 on his first pass of the night... A big change from the 11s he was running last week!

With a smile a mile wide Eric continued to run a string on flat 10s before breaking into the nines with a solid 9.97@133, still leaving the line off the foot brake!. Eric ran a total of eight passes on the night, all but the nine second pass being flat 10s; very consistent indeed.

Always a solid performer, WKD13B made an appearance, Paul looking to better his 9.7 second PB.

Although it wasn't to be on the night Paul still put on a good show, launch hard, wheels up out of the hole and running several quick passes with the best of the night being a 9.88@136.

The 'Gooza' Brothers are sharing driving duties of their RX3 'FLY11N' and on this night it was Brendan's time to steer. Although it was his first time behind the wheel racing he certainly didn't show it on the track running a 10.51@127 on his first pass.

This effort was then backed up by a 10.28@129, a new PB for the car which now makes Brendan the fastest of the three brothers... And just to rub it in, he then backed it up with a 10.33@122. Sibling rivalry can certainly make for some great racing!

A fresh face to the group, Adam recently purchased the old ABZ13B RX3 that we featured on the website a while back here.Being Adams first time racing the car the night was all about getting the hang of things rather than chasing ETs however seeing that the car has previously run a best of 9.7@137 on street tyres, it was always going to be a solid performance from the start.

On the first of five passes completed on the night Adam laid down a lazy 10.10@122 before coming straight back out and blasting a 9.97@131. This would be the cars best for the night but it was followed up with another three 10-zeros with a best trap speed of 133mph. A cracker first night out for Adam!!

Four tough street cars taking home a swag of 9 and 10 second time slips, it doesn't get much better than that! If you weren't there to see the runs in person our mate Mark from FPV Video was there to catch the action on camera and you can check out all of the passes in the clip below.
