28/11/13 SYDNEY DRAGWAY RACE 4 REAL OFF-STREET MEET

Good weather brought out a heap of cars to this weeks Race 4 real off-street meet at Sydney dragway including three of our own customers looking to get their race fix for the week.

After last weeks efforts Paul Kosta was busting to get back onto the strip and push to better his 9.7 PB. Still trying to make small adjustments to help get the power down through the small 235 street radials, Paul blasted out a 10.0 right off the bat followed by a pair of 9.8s at 137mph.

After looking at the data on the night the boys are confident they have found some areas to make changes which will see the car improve next time out.

Andrew 'Gooza' came out for his first meeting with his RX3 sedan 'FLY11N'. Slowly getting the hang of the car Andrew still has the training wheels on but that didn't stop him from running a 10.9 on his first pass, followed by a 10.7 and then a 10.5 to end the night; all off the foot brake.

While Andrew is slowly getting used to the car to be able to drive it to its potential, George has set a 10.0 ET goal  which Andrew needs to hit before he can step it up and use the trans brake; all part of the training we provide for our customers.

There is a lot more potential to be seen from this car once sorted. Currently running tiny 24 in slicks due to guard clearance issues and geared for the original Supra 5-speed manual the car came with, watch this thing go quicker once some bigger tyres are fitted, gearing is changed to suit the new 9-second Jatco package that's been installed and Andrew progresses with his driving.

New Pac customer Hady El'Bacha  brought out his recently purchased RX3 Coupe to race for the first time. After giving the car a thorough going-over and a tidy up of the tune at the workshop the boys sent him out to play.

Running a 13BT setup backed by a 2-speed 'Glide Hady put down a solid 9.3 off the trailer followed by a 9.2@147. Being his the first time behind the wheel there was obviously some nerves involved but Hady said that he was blown away by how the car performed and can't wait to get back out there, get some more seat time and break into the eights.

Thanks to Cackling Pipes for the photos from the night.
