Another World Record for Pac Performance

On the weekend, the PAC Performance team used the second round of the track championship at Sydney Dragway, to fine tune their Mazda 6. Rocky was concentrating on the chassis setup whilst George took over the driving duties for the weekend.

Saturday started off shaky with the team having to contend with windy weather conditions and a cold track, but after a successful Fuchs Australian Nationals a month back, the team qualified in third position running a 6.86@202mph. Semi finals time and George was up against one of the most consistent drag racers in his class, Daniel Schultz, who was racing his Rocket sponsored t-bucket, altered.

It was this run that saw George run a personal best as well as resetting the team’s previous world record, running an amazing 6.70@206.61mph and beating his long time rival in the process.

Unfortunately George lost in the finals but he walks away with a world record to his name and puts the team in the Rotary history books once again.

The team would like to make special mention to their tireless crew and family who have been so supportive along this journey.

A big thank you also goes out to their ongoing sponsors Turbosmart, Garrett Turbochargers, Mazda Australia, Castrol EDGE and Haltech whom also work tirelessly alongside the team to produce the best products that have helped our team to be No.1 in the world.
