Rami was out cruising his 'CALHLP' RX3 last Wednesday night with his mates and decided to head out to Sydney Dragway to check out the action as a spectator at the Race for Real Street Meet.
After seeing there wasn't too many competitors lined up in the staging lanes, Rami made the decision to take his RX3 down the strip for a couple of passes.
Being Rami's first time racing he didn't know what to expect as he launched off the foot brake and raced down the track to a very impressive 9.90 @141 ,earning him 10th place on our #PACSTREETKINGS Leaderboard.
His new pb caught him out as due to ANDRA specifications, any car running faster than 140 mph requires a parachute and any sedan running quicker than 11:000 requires a current ANDRA tech inspection. Rami was pulled up by the officials and his night was cut short.
Rami has caught the racing bug now and is keen to make an impact on our leaderboard, so has dropped his car off at our workshop for us to make it race ready. Jason is already well underway installing the new racing harness, parachute, roll cage padding and fire extinguisher. Once completed 'CALHLP' will have an up to date ANDRA tech inspection and the car will be good to go.
With his newly acquired ANDRA licence, Rami is looking to get out to the track this Wednesday night and start running some numbers.
