A personal wrap up from Rocky to all of our fans and sponsors -
"PUERTO RICOOOOOOOO!!!! What a blast!
As I sit on this plane back home to Sydney, I am trying to find the words that can describe these past two weeks here in beautiful Puerto Rico. I brought my team to this little island, of 100 x 35, to meet and greet the fans and to fulfil a lifelong dream. Well, you have exceeded all my expectations and to see that first burnout in front of such a vocal and passionate crowd at Salina’s Speedway, was such a surreal moment. From the minute that we landed until the minute we left, I have felt the warmth and the passion of the Puerto Rican people. This place will always have a special place in my heart.
The unity of the racing community here is quite clear, I really felt the strong family environment. The reception of the fans was amazing, it was so great to look up in the grand stand and see so many black and yellow shirts in the bleachers the whole weekend, the support is appreciated. A moment I will treasure, however, will be the presentation of Recognition from the Puerto Rican Government. We have been racing for nearly 30 years, and to have our achievements and contribution to the sport recognised by this country was truly humbling and a great honour – Thank You!!!
Although our time has been short here, we have been able to experience so much, we have met so many great people and have made many new friends. There are a lot of people that have made this trip special but in particular I would like to thank Gabby and his team from La Criatura Racing, who went above and beyond, and to Carlito - thank you for all your support and helping to get the car to PR. Thank you to Arturo, Willie and the entire team who organised this amazing event and also took the time to show us some of this beautiful island. Ozzy and Maria Moya, who helped make this all possible thank you for all your support. To everyone that took the time to meet us and show us your hospitality whilst we were here – Thank You! To my team both here and back at the workshop, thank you for all of your efforts and dedication to Pac Performance, without you, we are not able to do any of this and we are unable to achieve anything. To our sponsors, Microtech, Turbosmart, Garrett, Mainline dynamometers and Custom bodyworks – Thank you for your continued support over the many years, there is still so much more to achieve and I look forward to working with each and every one of you in pursuit of those goals.
Thank you to my brothers George, Rodney for being there every step of this journey, through the highs and the lows, for without your never say die attitude and support none of this would be possible.
Last but not least thank you to my wife Karen (the live stream queen) your unwavering support, forward thinking and attention to detail has made our trips a reality. To my children and the rest of my family, thank you for believing in what I do and allowing me to pursue my dreams."
