After accomplishing his dreams of a 7 second pass, Alex Hayward has decided its time to part ways with his 13BT 1985 Datsun 1200 ute.
Alex's ute came into our workshop around a year ago with the instructions "please make this car run a 7!"
After making a few changes to the setup and getting the tune just right it was time to for Alex to hit the track and see if the changes we made worked. First pass back in the car Alex ran a new pb of 8.258 @166 almost half a second quicker than his previous pb. On his second full pass of the day, Alex blazed down the track in his little red weapon to a blistering 7.89 @170, finally realising his dream. Alex has since run a new pb at the Sydney Jamboree earlier this year with a 7.85 @168, taking the win against long time friend and rival Ben Palmer.
