MODIFIED LIVE EPISODE 2 WRAP UP 21-04-18

Motive DVD's Modified Live Episode 2 was held at Sydney Dragway last Saturday, an event designed to bring the entire car scene together.
Featuring a car meet, Show & Shine, Drifting & Motorkhana, a Pro Burnout exhibition and Drag Racing the event had a bit of everything to cater to people from all areas of the Sydney car scene.

When there is drag racing involved you can bet there will be a Pac car out representing the team and for this event we had 6 cars in attendance. Our Mazda 6 SP, Rodney's RX3 Sedan, Jason Both's 20B RX7, Norm's 'KILARB' VL Commodore, Eric Wolf's 'TRIPLE' RX3 and Jay Sadek in the 'SAD3K' RX4.
With no scheduled racing set up it was a chance for the team to get in some testing ahead of a few major events which are coming up.

Jason's RX7 which now runs a Quick Drive performed well with the team gaining much needed data for the first half of the track. The 20B RX7 managed a best of 7.88 @124 after a very early shut off with Jason under instructions to just pull the first 3 gears.

Backing up from Workshop Wars earlier in the week, Eric was looking to push his 20B powered RX3 street car closer to a 7 second et and after running a 8.258 @167 on his first pass of the day it was looking promising. The next run saw Eric taking off with a huge wheels up launch and come down hard on the front end. See the in car video HERE
In the pits the car was put up on the stands to check out the damage and the wastegate pipes were found to be bent so the decision was made to retire the car for the day until it could be checked out more thoroughly.

Returning to the track again was Norm's 'KILARB' VL Commodore with his good friend Tony Illov behind the wheel. With not much time in the drivers seat of Norm's beast the boost was turned down on the RB with Tony still managing a stout 8.472 @160 on his first full pass.

After breaking into the 8's in his RX4 during last Wednesday nights Race 4 Real, Jay Sadek was back out again looking to push his 13B streeter even quicker.
First run of the day Jay blasted out a 9.028 @151, then a 9.021 @151, 9.044 @151, 9.003 @151 before running a new pb of 8.974 @152. On his last run of the night Jay went one better again running an impressive 8.921 @151. God help anyone that lines up next to this kid in a bracket race!!

Rodney in the 'ROODGY BACK' RX3 ran a best of 7.163 @163, getting off it early with the car looking really good out of the hole.

Struggling with traction early in the day with some tricky track conditions, George later managed a 6.562 @212 in our Mazda 6 SP. This would be our best pass of the day with the car getting loose in the other runs.

We would like to thank Andrew and the Motive DVD crew for the invite to what was a really good event.
Next on our schedule is a test & tune session this Saturday at Sydney Dragway where will be taking a few of our cars along including Rodney's RX3 and our Mazda 6.
