After recently switching to an
Al's Race Glides built Turbo 400 gearbox from his Liberty 5-Speed manual, Mario made waves in the Automatic import world running a new 13B automatic World Record on his first full pass, with a
7.75 @175 in testing.
With the success he had on the car's first outing to the track the decision to swap to the automatic before the Brisbane proved to be the right one.
In testing at Willowbank the day before Jamboree Mario set another new pb and record of 7.67 @175.
During competition at the Brisbane Jamboree, Mario reset his own World Record with a
7.57 @181 going on to win all of his rounds in Pro Compact but narrowly missed out on the finals in a field of very fast cars.
Last weekend at Grudge Kings, Mario saw success yet again with his little Starlet blazing down the quarter mile to a 7.26 @183 with a back off! This car is just getting quicker and quicker each time it goes out. As you can imagine, Mario couldn't be happier with his reset pb and can't wait to be out racing again.
