PAC CUSTOMERS TAKE ON SUPERNATS 2013

With more entries than ever before, the 19th annual Street Machine Magazine Supernats event was set to be massive and as usual the Pac Performance team just had to be part of it.

Unfortunately with the huge current workload at the workshop leading up to the Qld Jamboree event we were unable to bring out the Mazda6 SP to compete at the event however, we were able to rustle up several customers to head out to the event and wave the Pac flag.

Simon Sadek, son of Sam 'The Godfather' Sadek debuted his newly-revamped 13B RX3 sedan at the Supernats event and right away you could tell that Simon was more than happy to be back behind the wheel and banging gears...

Right from the word go, Simon got straight to work blasting out a solid 8.25@156 before eclipsing that ET with a PB 8.23@155.

Mr Wheelstand Dom Perri was out once again in GODRX2, eager as always to have another crack at that elusive 8-second pass. Although once again Dom and his crew went home with a 9-second car as always he impressed the crowd with a string on super-consistent flat nine-second passes including a 9.03@145 and a 9.02@147.44 which is a new PB trap speed for the car.

After some dramas at his last meeting Tony Pape was keen-as to give the car some real stick this time out knowing that all the dramas were now rectified, and that he did; laying down an impressive 9.7@135 early on before improving with a new PB of 9.5@137

Abdel Sage had a few race day nerves when behind the wheel of his sexy RX3 streeter. This didn't help him at all with trying to better his previous 9.7 best with the car unable to run any times indicative of the cars real potential. Abdel's best for the day was a 10.6@133

Another Mr Consistent on the day was Ibby Awad, running a string on nine second passes in his small-tyred RX3; from a 9.7 all the way down to a 9.44@140 before netting a new PB of 9.43@140

Overall the event went very well for the Pacsters that attended and it has gotten us all hyped up for Jamboree in a little over a weeks time.

Big thanks to the team at Cackling Pipes for the awesome snaps. Be sure to check out their website as well as Facebook page for more.

Just in case static photos are not enough to satisfy your needs, check out this mad Pac Performance compilation clip from the day put together by Mark at FPV. Unfortunately Mark was involved in a nasty accident on the day whilst filming and although now recovering from his injuries he still managed to process a heap of clips from the day including this one. Hats off to you Mark and the whole Pac Performance team wishes you a speedy recovery!
