What a weekend this has been! The car was performing well and we were off to a good start with Rocky qualifying at the top of the class with 6.88@203mph. Things were about to get better! The very next pass was a blindingly-fast 6.745@205mph – a new World Record!
The amazing co-incidence was that exactly a year ago, we have gotten our very first World Record – 6.752@201mph, same car, same track, a year later we broke it again – what a great anniversary present!
Rocky then lined up against McKern’s RX-2 in the finals, and to cap off what was already a great weekend, won the finals and was awarded the Gold Christmas Tree. To sum it all up: we got Top Qualifier, World Record and the Gold Christmas Tree!
It’s been a long time since we’ve first beaten the World Record and this weekend’s result is a testimony to all the hard work, sweat and tears the crew have put in over the last 12 months. Thanks guys!
