In the past few years there has been a surge in street car owners opting to go for an automatic gearbox over a manual and while there are many reasons as to why this is happening the two main points are always drivability on the street and performance on the strip.
For some time now we've been doing a lot of R&D and testing of different gearbox combinations and setups looking for a combination that ticks all the boxes in regards to drivability, reliability, performance and value for money and we're happy to say that we've hit the nail on the head with the Pac Performance 9-second Jatco Package.

As used in all of our recent street car builds and an ever-growing number of customer cars, the Pac Performance 9-second Jatco Package is a proven setup, tried and tested on the street and the track, available as a DIY package or as a drive-in-drive-out deal.
All major components are supplied with the package including a freshly built Pac-Spec Jatco 3-speed gearbox with trans brake, converter, flex plate, starter motor, shifter, cables, oil cooler with fan, braided lines and all fittings &tail shaft yoke.
The drive-in-drive-out package is just that; drop you car off at the workshop and pick it up done and dusted, the new auto setup all mounted, hooked up and ready to rumble.
This includes a custom fabricated H/Duty gearbox cross member, H/Duty tail shaft and quality Castrol gear oil.
High quality braided line and alloy fittings are supplied/utilised with all Pac Performance 9-second Jatco Packages, front to back with no corners cut on safety and reliability.
Heat is a common killer of automatic gearboxes, especially when high RPM converters are being used and so to combat high oil temps a large H/Duty oil cooler is fitted to the car, equipped with its own 12 inch electric fan to ensure optimum cooling capabilities. All tucked away neatly under the rear of the car, out of harms way.
All Pac Performance 9-Second Jatco packages include a brand new shifter with many different models available including the popular B&M range. For those that want to retain the use of the factory centre console we can also sink the shifter into the floor to make this possible.
As we mentioned before, the Pac Performance 9-second Jatco Package is a proven setup, tried and tested in our own cars on the street and the strip. One example is Dom Perri's 13BT RX2 coupe seen here that is a regularly-driven street car and has run several flat nine second passes on the track, looking to dip into the eights real soon.
