PAC PERFORMANCE @ APSA GRAND FINALS 21-11-15

Our customers were out in force for the Australian Pro Street Association - APSA Grand Final at Sydney Dragway, with 6 cars in attendance. For the first time in a while we had all 4 of the 13B RX3's racing at the same time, with Andrew "The Dentist" Maratos, Elia Hajjar, Anthony Daquino and Steven Barnett all looking to run that elusive 6 second pass. Also in attendance was Sam "The Godfather" Sadek in his 20B RX3 coupe and Alex Hayward in his 13B Datsun 1200 ute both making a return to racing.

Sam Sadek is back with a fresh Billet 20B and is keen to improve on his previous PB of 6.97 @195. Being the first time back in the car there were a few issues to iron out but Sam finished the meeting strong with a 7.08 @190. With a bit more seat time we are sure Sadek will tame his wild beast and run into the 6's with ease.

Still on a high from his pb pass at the Melbourne Jamboree, Steven Barnett was looking to improve his time even further and hopefully run into the 6's. With a few low 7 second passes through the day and a scary run where the car got out on him Steve finished the day with a best time of 7.287 @174.

Another of the 13B RX3 driver's vying for a 6 second pass is Andrew "The Dentist" Maratos. Unfortunately though an electrical issue saw him finish the day early but not before running a 7.368 @183.

Also on a high after his last meet was Anthony Daquino and his crew after running a new pb straight off the trailer of 7.142 @194. Unfortunately this wouldn't be the day for the Daquino Racing team to better that time managing a best of 7.278 @169.

Elia Hajjar was out looking to improve his pb and hopefully run a 6 in his 13B RX3, starting the day with a 8.263 Elia ran faster to finish with a best of 7.285 @186

The man of the moment on the day though was Alex Hayward, who had just picked up his Datsun ute "GRUMBLZ" from us that day. Alex was looking to run a 7 second ET, a goal he has had for many years now.
First run back in his ute and it bogged off the line a little but then continued on to a new pb of 8.258 @166. His second run of the day saw him back off early due to some tyre shake , the last run of the day though saw Alex finally reach his goal of a 7 second pass with a time of 7.891 @170. To say he was excited would be a huge understatement.  Alex is keen to get out to the track again as soon as he can to see if he can improve his time even more.

Here are some the highlights from the event

With Christmas and the end of the year fast approaching there are only a couple of more race events scheduled, then it will be time for 4 of our guys to pack up there cars to head over to New Zealand to race at the 4 and Rotary Nationals
