PAC PERFORMANCE MAZDA6 SP BLASTS OUT 221MPH IN WINTERNATIONALS TESTING

With the FUCHS Winternationals creeping up fast the boys headed out to Sydney Dragway last Saturday for the Track Championship meet for some test passes. With the track surface proving to be quite good it was a great opportunity to gather some quality data before making the long track North.

After suffering major tyre shake on the first pass of the day the Mazda6 SP was turned around for its next run which despite a very average 1.05 sixty-foot the big 20B powered home for a flying 6.41@221.78 run. A PB trap speed for the home track.

The pass saw George line up against Joe Signorelli in the Gas Motorsports 2JZ Celica, no doubt giving him that extra motivation to go for the win light.

In an effort to try and get the sixty-foot down to what it should be some adjustments were made to the clutch before heading out in the final which would be uncontested due to the other racers suffering failures.

This pass wasn't to be anything outstanding with the clutch slipping throughout the run however, a 6.60@185, rolling through the traps with the chutes out shows just how potent this 20B really is...

Plans are now to prep the car for the trip to Willowbank where we'll be taking on some of the toughest Sport Compact cars in the world in Factory Xtreme! See you there...
