Brisbane Jamboree 2026: A Wild Weekend of Racing
After months of preparation, another Brisbane Jamboree has come and gone—and what a wild weekend it was!
This year, PAC Performance headed north with a three-car team, accompanied by the Sadek Racing crew, to compete across the Pro Compact and Factory Xtreme classes. From strong performances and mechanical challenges to a well-deserved Show N Shine trophy, there was plenty of action throughout the weekend.
PACJNR Reaches the Pro Compact Final
Peter delivered an impressive and consistent performance behind the wheel of PACJNR. His best pass of the weekend was a 7.16 at 187 mph, qualifying him third in Pro Compact.
Peter secured three wins in the Chicago-style shootout, earning his place in the final against Alan Dodd’s WATUP G RX7. PACJNR launched hard and took an early lead, but a differential failure midway through the run brought Peter’s charge to an unfortunate end and handed the win to Dodd.
Despite the result, it was an outstanding drive from Peter, who defeated several fast cars on his way to the final.

More Data Gathered for Bumblebee
Rodney and the team faced a challenging weekend with the Bumblebee Camaro as they continued working through clutch and setup issues.
After running several 6.3-second passes during testing in the weeks leading up to Jamboree, the team managed a best of 6.5 seconds at the event. Although it wasn’t the result they were hoping for, the boys collected plenty of valuable data and will be looking to get the Camaro back on track again soon.

RX9 Returns After a Major Setback
Just one week before Jamboree, the RX9 suffered a major clutch and flywheel failure. The team worked day and night to repair the car and ensure George could make it to the event.
The first two days of testing brought further clutch-related issues, but the crew continued working through them and eventually qualified with a 6.23 at 203 mph.
On race day, George lined up against some of the biggest names in Factory Xtreme, including Zoran Gajic, Afif Mikael and Rob Marjan. While he didn’t secure a round win, George put up a gallant fight and produced some impressive numbers: 6.17 at 227 mph, 6.19 at 215 mph, 6.27 at 236 mph
Considering the major setback only days before the event, simply having the RX9 ready and running competitive numbers was a tremendous effort from the entire team.

Strong Weekend for Jay Sadek
Also competing in Factory Xtreme, Jay Sadek had SALOUPA running consistently, recording a string of 6.3-second passes throughout the weekend.
Jay secured three wins, matching Afif Mikael and Rob Marjan. Unfortunately, his final-round elapsed time wasn’t quick enough to break the tie, narrowly keeping him out of the final.
Congratulations to Jay and the Sadek Racing crew on a fantastic weekend of driving and racing.
SPRFLY Takes Home Its First Trophy
John Chillari’s freshly completed RX3, SPRFLY, also made the trip north to compete in the Show N Shine.
The popular RX3 turned plenty of heads throughout the weekend and was rewarded with its first trophy, taking home Best Rotary Engine Bay. It’s a beautifully presented car and an achievement John and everyone involved in the build should be proud of.
