With the carbon work all done it was off to Custom Body Works for the Mazda6 SP so Danny and his talented crew could get to work on the final repairs on the bodywork.
When you're under pressure and the clock is ticking you need to make sure you have complete trust in the people you're working with and after many years working side-by-side to on countless builds over the years, there's no one else we would entrust this kind of work to. When it comes to the pinch, Danny and the Custom Body Works team know how to get the job done, and get it done right!
These photos were taken earlier today at Custom Body Works HQ and as you can see the rear quarter panel has been fixed right up.
The front end copped a bit of a beating as well, in fact the whole right corner was snapped clean off and has since been replaced with a new carbon moulded section which you can see here is being smoothed over and blended.
As we're writing this the Mazda6 SP is back at Pac HQ where the final assembly is taking place as well as the usual race maintenance/checks that takes place before an event. We're now on the home stretch with much thanks to this man, Mr Custom Body Works himself, Danny Makdessi; a true legend in his field and valued member of the extended Pac Performance team...
It's going to be another late one at Pac Performance but this is what we live for, the good and the bad; our determination and support of our fans is what drives us and if all goes well, we'll see you at Sydney Dragway tomorrow for the 2013 Australian Nationals!
