Rotors take on the World at the World Time Attack Challenge

There will be no shortage of rotaries at this year’s World Time Attack Challenge, held at the Eastern Creek Raceway on May 21-22.

Apart from the Japanese teams, Panspeed and R-Magic, there are plenty of local rotors lined up to take the challenge.

PAC Performance is heavily involved with the Turbosmart entry in the Open Class. The 13B-powered series 4 RX-7 has been in development for several months and has already won its class at the Rally Adelaide.

With the World Time Attack Challenge only two weeks away, the car is undergoing some fine tuning and recently took to the track to test the suspension, brakes and address any problems that arise under race conditions.

Turbosmart’s CEO, Nic Cooper is confident the car has what it takes to keep up with the front-runners. “The car is deceptively quick. PAC Performance have done a great job with the car. We now need to sort out the suspension and fine-tune it to the Eastern Creek track.”
