SPOT THE DIFFERENCE - PAC PERFORMANCE 9-INCH DIFF PACKAGES

With the majority of early model Mazdas cruising around these days having more than double the factory power output, it's only common sense to upgrade the rear end to handle the extra grunt. I mean, look at this pitiful standard Mazda diff below..... It's like an oversized tooth pick! Hardly capable of withstanding any decent power sent its way...



That's exactly why the team at Pac Performance have put together a complete, bolt-in differential upgrade package that will be able to handle whatever you and your engine can throw at it...

Built in-house by our in-house fabricators, the package starts out with a brand new H/Duty housing and strong 1/4 inch thick axle tubes. The axles tubes themselves slide several inches into the centre section which itself has extended side 'wing' areas, making for a built-in housing brace of sorts to help reduce chances of the housing twisting under extreme force during drag strip launches. The whole housing fabrication process is carried out utilising our own specialty jigs to ensure perfect alignment.



Any hand fabricated component is only ever as strong as the welds that hold it together and with many years of engineering and fabrication experience, our team of fabricators got this covered and then some with all housing sections tig welded.



Each housing is finished off with H/Duty billet ends to suit large Ford bearings. Once completed the housing is prepped and powder coated in-house for a durable finish, presentable appearance.

Axles of choice for street car applications are high strength Mark Williams Master Line 35 spline billet items which are significantly stronger than the factory Mazda twigs...

Braking-wise we equip the diff with a full Wilwood brake kit featuring larger 11.5 inch rotors, four-piston sdust boot street legal callipers, H/duty pads and new brake lines. Heavy Duty 5/8 inch wheel studs are also included to finish off the job.


The heart of every Pac Performance 9-inch Diff Package is the diff centre assembly, comprised of a Strange S-Case housing, H/Duty gears with your chosen ratio and your choice of either a spool for the dedicated racer or Detroit True-Track LSD for the street car.



Fully assembled and ready for pickup or shipping off to the customer, the Pac Performance 9-Inch Diff Package is a complete, disc-to-disc, bolt in setup that's ready to rumble. Of course we offer fitting services at the workshop but being a complete package it also suits the DIYérs out there who don't mind getting their hands dirty...



Diff conversions can be built for any model vehicle, some early model Mazda setups able to be built to factory length without the need to have the car in the workshop.
