Today is the end of an era, but the beginning of a brand new chapter for Rami and his beloved CALHLP RX3... With this iconic car now sold and ready to be stripped of its running gear, there's no better time to celebrate what Rami and the team achieved with this beast.
Right from the get-go, Rami and the boys had one goal for the car, to make it the quickest street 13B in the world and while many scoffed at the idea, time would tell the tale.
During the 2.5 years the car was on the road, the car went through many different phases and looks, from bright fluoro yellow Simmons to Teal and then to full-time race look.
One thing stayed the same, the cars street cred as Rami drove the car every chance he got and put on more street kays than most modified 'streetcars' put on in a whole lifetime.
At the same time though, the car was a regular at Sydney Dragway, with Rami and the boys putting in work, run after run to see the car achieve the end goal. Of course, driven to the track and back!
The car was also the first of its kind to run a full Billet By Pac engine, with billet housings and plates as part of our ongoing R&D and Rami certainly put them through their paces on the street...
The dedication and perseverance of the whole team saw the car improve on the track with every pass the car put down, which resulted in the car improving from high 8-second passes to mid 8s in a very short period of time - much to the haters surprise of course.
To prove the point that the car was the real deal and no one-hit-wonder, Rami steered the car to 10+ 8.4 passes before retiring the car, with a PB of 8.34@160 which to this day holds the record for the quickest 13B Street Car in the world!
While we're all sad to see the car go, we're all excited to see a new quest begin for Rami and we look forward to what's in store for v4.0! What will Ramis next car be? Another sedan or a coupe? You'll have to wait and see...
