TRYNC SKYLINE INTO THE 8S

After running a string of flat nines at the last few outings James Cannavo and his TRYNC R33 Skyline have finally dipped into the eights at the Round 8 Track Championship meet last Saturday at Sydney Dragway. Driving through a very average 1.54 second sixty-foot, tyres turning the car powered through for an off-the-trailer 8.982@161

The Garrett GTX-fed, Nitto 3.2L stroker RB25/30 is now producing in excess of 1000rwhp through a 2-speed Powerglide automatic and full street exhaust and while power certainly has not been holding James back from running that elusive eight second pass, the small 26x10in slicks and the completely factory Nissan IRS rear end have been making James and the Pac Performance team work harder and smarter to achieve that goal.

Being a full weight street car she's no light weight either at a whopping 1650kg (3637lbs). The all-important launch and sixty-foot has been something James and the team have been working on as the car likes to blaze the tyres off the line; thanks to the cars vicious power delivery. Once sorted the car should delve much deeper into the eights...

Check out this clip of all of James' runs from the meeting from Mark at FPV...

Once again thank you to the Cackling Pipes team for the track shots.
