UNDER CONSTRUCTION - NEXT LEVEL RX3 STREETER

Pushing the envelope...That's what we like to do here at Pac Performance and when it comes to street cars we're constantly trying to go to the next level and better our past builds in terms of fabrication and performance. That's exactly what we're looking to do with this latest customer project seen here...

This particular customer has a very specific look in mind for his street car and we've been entrusted to carry out the build, following his guidelines. One of the main style guides if you want to call it that was that the car had to be 'slammed' over the fat 20 inch Simmons wheels whilst still being perfectly drivable on the street.

So after stripping the super-clean shell down to its birthday suit, our fab-master Ross got started on the new rear end to fit the new rollers...

Slotting 20x9" wheels shod in 265 rubber under the rear end of an RX3 is not a simple task but with a bit of ingenuity and fab skills anything can be achieved.

The factory wheel tubs have been removed and replaced completely with new, larger items arch and as seen here the factory arches have been stretched a few inches for clearance without having to butcher the lower corners of the panel. This will also allow easy fitment of some decent race rubber under the car as well at a later date.

The view from the side can be a bit deceiving at first glance as the cars owner has opted to pass on the big dish look, preferring to stay with a much more average amount of dish on the wheels outer as a matter of personal taste. Look at the car from the rear though and it's a different story; the fat rollers in your face even at the cars now greatly-lowered ride height.

That's all we can show you at the moment at request of the owner but keep an eye out for more snaps of this machine here and there on our Facebook page as the build progresses.
