The C4 3-speed automatic is one of the most popular transmission conversions for the rotary platform, whether it be for street or track duties however, adapting the transmission to the rotary engine has always presented several pitfalls in regards to correct fitment... Well, that's not the case anymore, thanks to our new custom-designed H/Duty cast bellhousing that forms the main part of this Rotary C4 Bellhousing Kit.
Designed, developed & tested in-house, these bellhousings are purpose-made strong and most importantly, fitment is spot-on with minimal case mods only required in some model cases, no adaptor plate - it’s ready to bolt behind your engine off the shelf with no fuss, just the way we like it!
Setting it apart from many other aftermarket C4 conversion bellhousings on the market, this setup mounts the transmission on the correct angle with the starter position as per factory and unlike when a factory Mazda bellhousing is used with an adaptor plate, there is no need to trim additional material from the pan (sump) rail which can and often does lead to cracking and premature gearbox failure.
In addition to all these benefits, not only does the bell housing bolt through the seven pump bolts, but also through the three case mounting provisions sharing the load equally. Thanks to our precision machining and high standard of quality control, all flanges and mating surfaces are true & every bellhousing is test-fitted prior to being stocked for sale.
Supplied with the rotary to C4 bellhousing as part of the complete kit is a Billet Flex Plate, a brand new High-Torque Starter Motor & hardware Set, which is everything you need to mount a C4 behind your 12A, 13B or 20B.
