Often in the hunt for power and speed, we tend to forget that after that initial blast of the throttle, you need to be able to stop! It's common knowledge that the factory brakes fitted to our favourite early model Mazda's are pretty pitiful, especially when it comes to instances where the performance of the car is increased. In most cases, an upgrade is also a requirement when it comes time to engineer an engine conversion.

Offering great stopping performance whilst not breaking the budget, our 11.5 inch disc/Twin Piston combo front brake upgrade kit pictured above and below features a 2-piece 11.5 inch cross drilled and slotted rotor with custom billet hubs (4 & 5 Stud avail), matched with fully-reconditioned VT Commodore callipers, 1-piece CNC machined backing plates, new high-performance brake pads, wheel bearings, seals and flexible brake lines.
Available to suit R100, RX2, RX3 and RX4 the 11.5 inch disc/Twin Piston combo is great for street and race applications and fits 15 inch or larger wheels with the hub face sitting 12mm inwards from standard. Priced at
$1895 for the full kit, it comes ready to bolt up, bleed and drive away. New wheel nuts are also available starting from $30.80 for 4-stud if required.
For those looking for the ultimate in performance braking for their early model Mazda RX streetcar, we also offer a larger 12 inch disc/4 piston Wilwood combo seen below.
Again featuring our custom 2-piece rotor assembly, a larger 12" rotor in this kit, with billet aluminium hubs (available in 4 & 5-stud) our
12 inch disc/4 piston Wilwood combo offers awesome braking performance whilst still allowing fitment of 15 inch race wheels and again is an engineer approved, direct bolt-on upgrade.
Doing the clamping are genuine, Fully ADR approved and street legal dust-booted Wilwood 4-piston callipers fitted with high-performance Wilwood brake pads.

On the other end of the scale, for those who are after just a basic 4-stud front brake upgrade which will still allow fitment of
some 13 inch wheels, we also offer an entry-level
10 inch disc/Girlock calliper upgrade as pictured below.
A great upgrade for a restoration project or a budget upgrade to comply with engineers requirements, the upgrade includes new 10 inch ventilated rotors, reconditioned single-piston Girlock Commodore callipers, new brake pads, calliper plates, new wheel bearings and flexible brake lines.
