With factory S4/5 Crank Angle Sensors (CAS) getting old and becoming increasingly hard to find, we decided it was about time we designed our own alternate solution that would not only replace the OEM CAS but also improve the ignition signal. This new Rotary Crank Trigger Kit is our solution and has been designed as a straight bolt-on kit, utilising a reliable Bosch Hall Effect sensor that is compatible with most popular aftermarket management systems.
The kit includes a new replacement crank pulley with a flush-mounted trigger wheel, featuring a 36-2 tooth pattern to offer vastly-improved resolution over the factory CAS. Mounting is simple and all components and hardware is included with the kit and unlike many other setups on the market, this kit mounts on the left side of the front timing cover, meaning it will not interfere with mounting of any auxiliary side mounted accessories like an AC compressor, power steering brackets etc.
Also included in the kit is a CAS block-off plate which incorporates an AN12 engine breather port (and matching ORB Plug), adding extra functionality & flexibility.
