When Andrew Zada came in to our workshop he had dreams of building a neat street car, nothing too over the top, just a nice looking RX3 Sedan streeter. That was until he met George and his dream of a mild street car was forgotten as the two of them started discussing plans of building a 20B monster.
With the new plans in place Andrew's car was brought into our workshop and our in-house fabricator Ross set about chopping the original 10a RX3 shell for the new changes.
With the tubs installed to fit the fat Mickey Thompson 275 ET Radials, Ross set about building the new H/duty 9” diff before the bare shell was sent off for Panel & paint.
Back from
2SUS Custom Resprays and Andrew was here to check out the freshly painted shell.
George and the boys wasted no time getting stuck into assembling the car once back at the workshop.
To create space in the engine bay for the huge power plant anything that could be relocated was moved, with the brake booster and master cylinder finding a new home under the dash.
Hiding under the bonnet of this beast is a PAC prepped 20B engine backed by a Precision Pro Mod Turbocharger,
Turbosmart Wastegate and all controlled by a Microtech LT16C ecu.
When it comes to clean, tough looking engine bays not many come close to this.
While having a street driven 1000+ hp car can be a lot of fun when it comes to needing to stop you want to be sure you have the best brakes for the job, that’s why Andrew opted for our Willwood brake conversion with 4 piston callipers installed on the front and rear.
The
MoTeC C127 Display Dash enables Andrew to keep an eye on what’s going on with his engine at all times while driving.
Luke and the
X-trim team have again outdone themselves with this awesome interior. Starting with re-upholstered Recaro Sportster CS seats in Black suede & leather trim with green stitching, the theme was then continued throughout the rest of the car.
At the end of most of our ground up builds Damien from Nippy Signs comes in to lay down the new PAC stickers.
Looking after the detailing of all of our builds once they are completed is Michael from Mr Mifsud Auto Detailing.
Since picking up his freshly built beast from our workshop, Andrew has been out cruising every chance he gets also attending his first
Powercruise at Sydney Motorsport Park earlier this year where he tore up the track alongside a host of other PAC built weapons.
Andrew recently made his racing debut, entering in the APSA Pro Street Shootouts which was held on the 9
th of April at
Sydney Dragway. The anticipation was high to see just how fast he would run with predictions he would take out first place on our
#PACSTREETKINGS leader board.
Being his first time racing a car of this calibre, Andrew was instructed by Rocky and George to not run all out for the first few passes. Once the boys saw Andrew was confident they set the car up for its first full pass. The 20B monster left the line hard and raced down the track to a 8.881 @155 securing Andrew the Pac street kings crown taking out the long standing time of 8.91 @159 held by Jimmy Cannavo’s RB powered R33 Skyline.
Andrew has caught the racing bug now so no doubt we will be seeing this green beast hitting the track again shortly.
